Having recently been on a vacation to Italy, I came across the most charming winery bed and breakfast that seemed to jump out of a wonderland. The villa was created by a victorious gladiator in the 1500’s and has stood the test of time. Enchanted by the view of the vineyards draped over rolling hills with the structures made completely from stone it was a picture of beauty. The room opened to a suite with arched brick doorways that were framed with voluptuous red drapes. Complete with tassel fringe and tiebacks the red fabric against the red brick was fabulous. Oh, to be able to have an old stone cottage to decorate in Canada!
